Team Information
The Lietash Agility Dogs are instructed by Bob
Ottenbrite, Adina
MaCrae,
Joanne Eisnor, and Amy Slaunwhite. All of the instructors compete in
local events You will gain a variety of perspectives on agility and we
will find the best training method for you and your dog.
Classes are divided into Beginners, Intermediate,
Advanced, and Competition ( Lietash Agility Team). All dogs should
have some basic obedience before attempting to learn dog agility.
Although dogs cannot compete in agility until the age of 18 months
(see
www.aac.ca for rules) we do
start puppies early with lowered jump heights and
equipment.
Classes are always on going and new members are always welcome. Levels
one through three are held on and on Saturdays from 10:00am-1pm at the
farm in South Rawdon.
If you have a dog with high drive, too
much energy, or just want to build confidence then agility is for you.

Class Info
Classes are divided into four groups. If you want to
have excellent communication and off leash
control with your dog then Lietash agility is
the
place for you.
Level one teaches dogs and handlers learn how to play with each other
while becoming comfortable with the agility equipment. In this level
we focus on play, obedience, and obstacle familiarization.
Level two continues with a large focus on play and
obedience
while teaching the dog and handler team some basic course maneuvers.
This class, which begins to teach solid obstacle contacts, builds a
foundation for advanced handling.
Level three begins to teach advanced handling. The dog
and handler teams have a solid obstacle, obedience, and play
foundation by
this
point. We work on small courses and handling maneuvers. When a student
successfully completes this level they will be capable of joining the
Lietash Agility team and entering a competition.
Level four or competition class is the Lietash Agility
team practice. We continue our focus on play and trying to have the
most fun possible in class.

After classes
Please feel free to explore the farm before or after classes. There
are over 435 acres of property to walk over as well as a lake to go
swimming in. Students and the members of the Lietash Agility team can
be found socializing at the lake. We look forward to talking to you.
